Well guys i figured since i've posted this thread on another forum i should post it here too. this is what im up to lately. its pasted on here is some of it doesn't make sense.

as some of you may remember i had a build thread on here for a 79 k5 on rockwells. well i had a change of mind and sold all of it to go smaller but just as capable.
hey guys well i made a thread on here awhile about me buying a nice samurai. i've had a blast in it so far. i got a tag and insurance for it so i can drive it around town but also it will go through almost every hole on my property except one that i haven't tried since i dug it out in my truck with the 41's one night. it does all of this stock with bald street tires on it. i can't imagine the damage it'll do with some boggers. anyways here is the build thread.

here's the first part of the lift. can't beat a 6 inch lift for less than $200. i just got the basic kit for now because here shortly it'll get bigger and i didn't want to have to redo the steering and shocks.

so far tonight i've gotten the back axle out. tomorrow i will weld the perches on and then start on the front.

oh and just for reference here is a picture of my friend's f150 (6in. lift and 35's) stuck in the one hole that i haven't taken the samurai through. i dug it out a couple months ago in my truck and almost got stuck in the process so its filled in a little since then but it's still deep.

i got the perches welded on the rear axle and i did a quick paint job

i got this part of the lift done and i ordered some 3in. lift leaf springs for it today so i'll have the suspension pretty much done after they get here and i'll order the steering.

has anyone ever ran super swamper ltb's? i've seen where a lot of people say they are better than boggers in mud and im not sure if the samurai will have enough power to properly turn boggers now. another big thing is they are about 3/4 the price of boggers.

anywho pic:

i've been still driving it around in the mud having a blast and i ordered the next 3 inches of lift (3inch lift leaf springs). they should be here this friday. i also am about to talk to my tire guy about some 33x13.5x15 ltbs.

oh and heres a few pictures one of my friends took the other day. i'll try to get the video from her. she took one of my crossing the creek behind my house. well its been flooding here so water is a little high. it came over the hood and actually picked the samurai off the ground.

kind of scared me but made it across the creek.

well i made a lot of progress today. my front leafs came in so i put them under it. i ran into a few problems though that i figured i would. the stock steering will no longer work so i'll have to order an OTT steering set up, also the rear drive shaft pulled out so it needs some spacers. other than that it went great. cant wait to get some 33 inch ltbs
