Test drove a 2011 SRT8 and 2011 Ram Laramie

We took the Ram in for some warranty work today and had to wait (5 hours) for it to get done..... so we bugged a salesman. We told him we were not buying anything, but wanted to take a couple test drives. He didn't mind.

Ok (Michael), I don't have a video.... but Pat did have this thing sideways down the highway. Cool car, but not for $48,500! I don't like the Toxic Orange either.

Then I found this. Fully loaded. Heated and cooled front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, sunroof, flame red paint, dual exhaust, rear sliding window, etc. I don't like all the chrome, but when I replace the Ford, I can get PTM bumpers, grill, and mirrors. This one was priced at $47,800.

I made the salesman wash the hood off (dust all over it) so I could see how red it was out in the sun.

Yuck that Orange is ugly!! I'd go green or black.

I'm not a fan of that orange. But, I think the gray stripes and splitter hurt the look, rather than help. I think black would've set off the orange much better.. But, if I was spending nearly $50k on one, I would not get that color...

Very cool! I actually like the toxic orange and wish I could have found a Ram that color (technically sunburst orange).
