Super slow boot and shut down on W7 with SSD

    It shouldn't take an SSD "minutes" to do anything. If you have that specific model of SSD, give that utility a try. I have that drive in one of my machines and installed the update, just in case. It made zero difference in performance. But, my machine wasn't running slow before-hand.

    I think you're barking up the wrong tree, thinking the SSD is the issue. Check Device Manager and Event Viewer for issues. I think that would be a better bet for finding what's wrong. :cheers:

    Forgot to update this post. It turned out to be a bad hard drive. My 1 gig backup drive went bad. I was only able to save about half my songs and pictures. Now my iTunes is wacked. I lost my playlists and now have to figure out how to get them off my phone without deleting them from my phone.
