Yeah, I'm bringing an old thread from GMT over here.

So, what stupid bonehead things have you done with your vehicles?

Over a year ago, I was fishing with a few friends at one of their places. We stayed out there and shot the shit until we left well after dark. Yes, I was a bit shitfaced. I got into my truck and started driving across the field towards the gravel road when BAM! My forehead hits the steering wheel. WTF did I hit?!? I get out and find that I ran into a steep washed-out ditch. *facepalm* The front tires were suspended in midair, the bumper was holding up the entire front end of my truck! I get my friend to pull me out of the ditch (it was very disheartening to be pulled out by a 2WD V6 Dodge Dakota and a little nylon rope), then I head on home to inspect the damage. Guess what? The bumper was perfect, it didn't even mess up the license plate bracket :D

Not too far from my old school, there was a very sharp corner that everyone would drift (I hate that word) around when they left school. One day a couple of years ago it had been raining earlier and I gave it a little gas coming around the corner. It slid out perfectly! I had to do it one more time, so I made a loop and tried it again. That time sucked, I barely got sideways. I couldn't just leave it at that, so I made another loop and tried it again. This time I goosed it around the corner. The back end swings out and next thing I know, I'm in the other lane facing the other direction. I pull into a nearby gas station and my friend pulls in next to me, laughing his ass off. He was coming in the other direction and saw the whole thing.

Does leaving a rental car running for 5.5 days count?
