Went to Atlantic Beach NC for 3 days and did a ton of fishing.
Didn't really get pictures of any fish... I was really rooting for catching some Flounder. Restrictions on legal trout are more strict... Since last month all you can keep is 1 per person. I mean that would not have stopped us from taking them to the house and going back out...
We mainly fished in the sound so it was a blast of a time.
The trout that we did catch were between 12-13.5 when the legal limit is 14"... We caught Sea Bass, Gar or Sea Gar, Mullet, pin fish, Flying fish, and some croakers...
Didn't really catch anything spectacular... I really wanted a Flounder and I think that my brother may have had one on his line... But if you have ever caught flounder before they seem to either make a final descent to the bottom once the see the boat or that the waters are getting lighter.
This had to be the most action that we have ever seen in the sound EVAR. We saw 2 naval ships being tugged out of port as well as a huge cargo ship that was at least twice the size of the naval ships.
Check out this hover craft monster that came out of the ported Navy boat that later shipped off...
I think that I have a video of this and possibly some more pictures... I hope...
Here are some pictures that I took with my phone.. They are not the greatest but I hardly ever have a camera with me..
