I want to find something I can spray on the pads to make them not as splippery the running boards the way they are now are slick as oil shizit when they are wet.I want to paint them or line x them to help with that a little bit, but I don't think that you can line x the plastic pads

Doesn't RhinoLiner have a more rubbery consistency? I would think something softer would provide more grip? :dunno:

yeah so does Xtreme liner which I have in the bed of my truck, but they say they can't spray it over plastic because it comes out so hot that it will melt/deform what ever it lands on. It comes out at roughly 160* I believe. I am friends with the guy that sprays Xtreme here in town. So maybe he can cut me a deal.

Same as I said over on the other site. Leave them off for now, put them back on Line-X'd when you get the new wheels & tires.

only reason you need em is if the truck is lifted... i dont understand the reason for a step... for a little step up. Just me tho.

Theres old people out there who need the help of a step, and some who may be disabled or with arthritis pains ya know? Makes sense in most ways. A real low truck its mostly pointless. I'm neither of the above but I always use my boards. Reason being to keep my seats well shaped, not wearing down the padding or stepping on my plastic sill trim and scratching it with the stones in my shoe threads.

Looks better with them gone.

Only reason I'd ever have steps would be if they were needed for somebody to be able to get in and out. They don't make a very good fashion statement.
