Did manufacturers start thinking people are so dumb that they have to put all of these freakin' nannies on TRUCKS.Was pulling out this morning and almost got clobbererd because I punched it, but the wheels started to spin and the stupid VSC or whatever the hell you call it, cut the power to the wheels until the traction was regained almost resulting in me getting rear-ended.

Note to self, turn them off everytime I turn the truck on...

Do all of the new trucks have these stupid nannies?

Toyota turns it back on after you hit 35 mph too. My xB does the same thing.

Trying to idiot proof themselves and keep lawsuits to a minimum sure takes away our fun.

My GMC has nannies that basically keep you from spinning a wheel on take off, but once you do get them spinning you can burn them down with no interference.

What really gets me is that we live in a land where EVERYBODY can have a "free" education but most simply ignore the opportunity. They are content to sit on their dumb asses and let somebody else pick up the check...

Maybe it's because I'm an engineer and think about things too much. I won't spend more than $50 without researching and making sure I'm buying the best quality product (for my budget) that I can. The old lady has friends that decided to pick up a TV while they were out at Walmart. I'm thinking, "You didn't read reviews? You didn't check the specs?"

Most people are just pleasantly naive. This same friend often says (after I tell her something) "Hmm, I didn't think about that" or "I wish I would have known . . . " Maybe I need to drink more or something. Maybe I'd be happier.
