Maybe take out the stock block?

Wow, I searched for something and actually found some info on it.

I was looking under my truck and I want to do the same thing to mine (level). Is there any reason this wouldn't work?

It seems like I can get the results I am after with out having to worry about buying shackles and installing them.

i think just removing the blocks would require a change to the shock length

Don't need to change shocks. I've run drop shackles on many trucks with the OEM shocks and no issue. OEM shocks are crappy but that's another story.

I've leveled several trucks myself over the years, when doing the shackles, I've never had a problem with the stock shocks. I think you'll be ok leaving them alone.
