Serpentine belt squeal/squeak

The serpentine belt on my truck started to squeak again. I had it replaced when I bought the truck back in January for the same reason. It did great until about 3 days ago. The belt is still in great condition. I know there has been a lot of discussion on these before. Is it the belt, the recent change in the weather, or a pulley? It mainly does it when accelerating, but it could be the tensioner. It all looks great though. I don't know what else it could be.

Could be the tensioner.

There should be alignment marks to indicate when they go bad are close to it.

Spray water on the pulleys while it's running (use a spray bottle, not a fire hose). If the noise goes away, the only fix is replacing the belt. If it doesn't go away, the tensioner may be giving it up.

It really works!

On my GMT800 trucks, I found that the Goodyear Gatorback belts lasted a lot longer between changes. That was after I replaced several using other brands.

Could be the tensioner, like john said look at the marks.

I'd bet it's the A/C belt. Hell, you didn't even know you had one a week ago.
