So, I'm upgrading the solar system I fitted to the van 10 years ago. This consisted of two rv solar panel which fed the Schaudt Electroblock via Schaudt's PWM controller.
I'm going with one big panel approx 1.8 by 1 metre to replace the two smaller ones through a new Schaudt MPPT control box.
The hard points I made for the roof which held the mounts for the small panel will all be redundant. It's occurred to me that glueing down more mounts for a specific panel size is probably shortsighted as if it ever goes wrong or I need to change it I'll have remove them again. Sikaflex 252 is impossible to remove or break easily. I know, I've tried )
What I'd like to end up with is 3 or 4 transverse alloy rails attached to the top of the van with clamps to hold the panel down to the rails. So this is where my difficulties begin. I can't find anything suitable despite trawling the internet for a couple of nights.
Ideas, thoughts, suggestions all welcome.

Thx in advance.
