Iv got that 350-bored 30 over-10.250 to 1 pistons-4 bolt blk-its balanced-high volume oil pump-nodular crank---bout everything to be a good bottom half to work with. I notice the rod bolts are not arp ones not sure if they are some other aftermarket type-but am assuming they are stock rod bolts-the guy i got it from said he turned in it-7200-7500rpm and it "was suppose"to be a 8500rpm engine. I think the cam i pulled out of it was just a stock one---Given all this info-im deciding on a cam and wanna stay within rpm limits of what the engine can do. I havent checked with my builder yet to see if he can replace those rod bolts with arp or see what they really are...he is on vaction til after memmorial day. Ok guys need your input if i just leave those rod bolts what rpm would you say don't go past with this set up. thanks guys for your input. Im thinking 6500rpm max-and acually probably shifting at about 6000rpm...can't beleive that guy had it up to 7200-7500rpm and its suppose to be a 8500rpm engine.

I have had several engines with stock rods and rod bolts go over 6500.
The problem you got is the guy you bought it from. If he said he spun it 7500 with a stock cam then he's a idiot.
Your best best is to discuss what you have with whoever is building it for you. You left out way too much info to get any good advice.
6500 isnt going to kill stock rods or stock bolts.
