Rattle Can Painting

I want to paint the seat in my son's truck.The blue seat worked in my '77 but not in his '69.I'm thinking about painting it(prolly black).I know it's been done but I need you guys' input.Does it work? does it last? Who makes the best paint for this?

duplicolor makes an upholstry color spray I believe. Its a vinyl and fabric paint

Mar-Hyde makes excellent vinyl paint / dye. I'm not exactly sure how well it would hold up on a seat but it works great on vinyl and plastic trim parts. I think it's a 3M product line.

Thats true! forgot about Mar Hyde. Their ruberized undercoating is the cats ass.

Not at all... You just made me realize there wasn't a good place for such a question. I modified this section to include interior stuff now. We're still trying to get this place set up.
