I want to be able to park a pickup truck camper in my garage. My garage door is 103" wide, and 118" tall. The campers I see on various manufacturers web pages list an "exterior height" in their specifications, but where is the referrence point for this measurement taken from? For example, one camper I am looking at has a published exterior height of 106", and another one has a published exterior height of 112". My question is, 112" from where? From the ground? How do they know how tall the truck is that the camper is sitting in? Do they assume a two wheel drive truck or a four wheel drive truck?
If anyone has a pickup truck camper that can measure from the truck bed surface of the camper to the top of the camper, that would be great. My truck is 39" from the ground to the floor of the truck bed, but the truck bed would be 3" or so lower with the camper in the truck. So I'm planning on a bed height of 36". A camper could be 82" tall and just fit in my garage.
