Puff Puff??

Anybody get a weird "puff of air-like" sound when accelerating; say like when getting on the freeway and trying to get up to speed quickly? This happens on my truck and it sounds like it's coming from or near the air vent near the drivers' door. Happens with A/C on or off.

Any thoughts?

All i can say is thats strange. does it happen at a certain speed? or certain level of acceleration?
do these trucks have the vent doors at the back of the cab? my superduty has them, they swing open to level out cab pressure, but you ususally can`t hear anything....

It usually happens upon harder acceleration, like when I get on the freeway. Hard shift from 2-3 maybe? My truck just feels very sluggish in low gear too, so i really need to step on her to get her to speed. I dunno', I love my truck, it just doesn't seem as powerful as my previous 5.3's, despite the increaded HP and torque ratings.

Hey Jim! I'm still here buddy, just busy finishing up my degree - lotta' papers and such. At 32, I'm sorta' a late bloomer, but better late than never, right? Besides trucks, my first true passion is aviation. I'm a private pilot, plus I've had air traffic control training, but I'm finishing up my Bachelor's because I'd really like to get into airport/airline management or operations.
