Oh yeah My wife lost a friend over it. This chick was over, having coffee and our Neo Mastiff came over to be friendly and she freaked out of a bit of drool, and told my wife to put the dog outside. It was -20 in AK that day, and my wife just had him go lay down in the other room. This lady asked why he could not go outside, and the wife just said "this is his house, and if him being in the other room isn't good enough, then please leave"...we have not heard from her since.
Good for your wife and good on that woman staying away. People don't seem to understand "my dog lives here, YOU do NOT. Don't come to OUR house and expect to get YOUR way over whether or not my dog is in the house!" Can't deal with dogs? We can meet (minus Anna) on neutral ground or we can just not see one another.
