Is it worth getting the Porter cable polisher? I usually polish by hand but it this thing makes it easier/faster then with five vehicles to polish/wax I might ask for this for Father's Day.

For doing that many vehicles, it should be a good investment. Especially for that price.

The Porter Cable is great starter polisher. Harbor Freight makes a similar one that is very comparable and has great reviews. Its actually on sale this weekend only (3-day sale) for under $60. I have one and it works great. Just vibrates a lot in my opinion. But I've heard the same about the Porter Cable one as well.
