I have been on the hunt for a small and affordable tractor.I found this jewel sitting in a guy’s back yard and it had not been touched ina couple of decades. He gave me his price and I told him if it runs as good ashe claims he has a deal. I came back two weeks later and sure enough, thatthings runs like a sewing machine. The fuel system needs a good cleaning andthere are a few maintenance issues I have to deal with. But other than that, for a 72 year old tractor that has sat outside for so long I cannot complain. Ithas already been converted to 12V and I have no intension of restoring it. Ilike it just the way it is. I even like the drunken stupor flame job.

By the way, why does the serial start with 9N if this is a2N?

The 2N was a stripped down 9N but it was still a 9N so it kept the serial designation. All 2N's have 9N serials.

Thanks! Now I just have to locate a good source for parts and information. Google seems to have different pints of view.

This is the only pic I've got on my phone right now. She needs a good paint job but for the most part everything works on her.
