Yep, a business is a business and they should pay the appropriate taxes whether the sales are electronic or not. This doesn't apply to the person who casually sells this or that, it's just the high volume sellers who actually sell thing as a business. Purchasers have to pay taxes on what they buy.

I agree that income is income. As much as we hate it, taxes are what allow our countries to operate. I see no problem with it as long as everybody pays at a fair rate.

It won't be long before items you buy online will be taxed too. At least in the US, items bought in another state online are exempt from sales tax now.

Not really. Any business operating within a state that sells in that state is legally obligated to collect tax on that sale regardless of how it is made. If this wasn't the case, it would be very simple to "set up" an internet sales desk and sell everything tax free. As much as I dislike taxes, they are necessary for us to have roads, city, county & state infrastructure, police, etc.

I am really surprised that they have not taxed ALL sales on the net. Especially considering the billions spent monthly. You can bet your ass that is coming.
