It would happen too. My inlaws have vehicles that require 91octane and they refuse to put it in it. So I would imagine it happens quite a bit.

When you buy a car that requires 91 octane and don't put 91 octane in it, I would class that as the owners own fault and responsibility.
Well their 95 Lincoln mark VIII only had 33k miles on it when they sold it and his 04 caddy only has 30k miles on it now. He will not spend the extra cash for the higher octane.
If you buy a vehicle that requires high octane fuel and put regular in it, you are an idiot that does not deserve the vehicle for sure. What's next? We gonna make em "safe" if they put in diesel?
