Had a misfire code pop the other day, P0306, #6 cylinder misfire. :ohnoes:

Swapped coils around, still mis firing.

Swapped Wires, same deal.

Swapped plugs, same deal.

I'm in Houston so I only have a few emergency hand tools, went to Advanced Auto tonight and bought a stethoscope and a compression tester. Sounded like the injector was pulsing and couldn't hear anything too crazy going on.

So I pulled all the wires, unplugged the injectors and pulled the plugs. I broke one plug (#5) taking them out, no real big deal since I had an older spare in the glove box.

Started doing the compression checks, #2- 185, #4- 180, #6- 110..... ****, there's the issue, low compression.

Not a good thing. Did you put some oil in the cylinder and try it again to see if it raised it up any?
Nope, didn't bother. If it's that much less than the others I have a problem. The engine was still nice and hot.

I could feel the mis, and hear it chirp through the primary tubes. I just didn't want to believe it until I did the compression test. You know, denial!!!!
