I have a 02 Silverado Z71 I have no brakes lights but the high third cab mounted light. And no parking light on the left rear. Checked fuses check and changed bulbs.
A shot in the dark but there is a connector under the bed below the tail gate. Make sure it is secure, maybe even disconnect and clean it out with some electrical contact cleaner and plug it back in.

It could also be the circuit boards in the light assemblies. You would have to test with a multi-meter to see if you are getting good voltage there.
My bad. You are correct. Should go from the board to the light sockets. Just thought of another thing to try. Disconnect just the harness that goes to the trailer wiring as sometimes those short out.A shot in the dark but there is a connector under the bed below the tail gate. I will clean it connection under the bed and see what happens.
There is no circuit board at th as light assembly like the 90's models had.
