No 4x4

So tried to ingage my 4x4 and I can hear the transfer case grind as though it is working but my indicator light does nothing doesn't blink doesn't illuminate nothing and I can tell the front axle is not ingauged. So could it be the actuator or something else? The last time it did not work at least the indicator light blinked but not this time.

I don't have any actual experience with them, but a lot of people have replaced actuators for this problem. Somebody will chime in here.

For those that might not know, he drives a 1992 GMC Yukon with the 5.7.

I thought it might help to have that info posted in here for a more timely response. I've got nothing on the problem on the other hand.

It is more than likely the front axle actuator. It is about a 15 minute swap and is fairly inexpensive. The newer ones are also supposed to be quicker and more reliable, but I don't know how true that is.

Mine went out on my 99... it would flash and try but nothing would happen.
