Ok, this is for my Nova, which I know is not a truck but the concept will work regardless of application.
To start, I was still running a mechanical fuel pump, so the first step was to remove that and install an electric fuel pump.
Fuel Pump block off plate
Fuel Pump - There are couple ways to go about this with a Nitrous system; 2 tanks/2 pumps, 1 tank/2 pumps, or like me 1 tank and a pump with enough volume to supply both the nitrous and the car.
We ran high pressure braided fuel line from the pump to the Regulator block
The line was ran to this block that contains 2 regulators (one for the engine and one for the nitrous system)
With gauges installed on the regulators
Bottle mounted - The bottle should be mounted at a 15 degree angle
Wide Open Throttle Switch - Mounted to the side of the carb. Many locations for this depending on application, but this is the safest way to activate your system.
Fuel Solenoid mounted, there will be a separate solenoid at the back of the plate for Nitrous
Nitrous Controller - This is optional, but highly recommended. This controller can regulate a number of functions; percentage of nitrous used off the line, how fast the nitrous comes on, rpm shut off, and many more.
The switch panel next to it controls fuel pump, bottle heater, nitrous activation and purge system.
