So since the Trailblazer Blazer decided to give up the ghost I'm on the hunt for another truck. Would love a new one but not the payments. LOL. So looking at 13-14's Chevy or Gmc's. Prefer Gmc and know pretty much same truck just different looking. But anyway. And pros cons with those years? Anything I should look out for?

I don't have any experience with the 13's or 14's, but I can give a little input on the 15's. There are a few open recalls on my '15 Silvy, but aside from recently replacing the battery and starter, it hasn't had a wrench on it for anything other than oil changes and basic maintenance. 61k miles so far.

The tuning on the 6 speed transmission seems well sorted and the traction control will even let me squall the tires pretty good without slapping my hand too hard.

Are you looking at getting a 1500, or a 2500HD? :dunno:
4x2 or 4x4?

I wouldn't have a clue as to what to tell you to look for. I haven't owned a 1/2 ton truck in over 20 years, and I've never owned a 4x4. I do know that I'm happy with my 2011 2500HD, and I wouldn't think much changed on them for the 2013-14 years. :dunno:

Look close at how many miles are on it. The lower the better. Reason being, AFM has been a real issue on higher millage engines, but not all of them. Its kind of luck ofothe draw. You can instal an AFM delete box on whatever you buy. They are inexpensive and just plug into the OBD port. The 6.2 L is a beast if you can find one. Also a custom ECM tune will go a long way in the performance department. If you do a tune, then there is no need for an AFM delete box. That can simply be tuned out. Stay away from anything with a miss or a valve tap. Thats signs of failed AFM lifters, and that can cause piston failure. I you live where its hot ( in the south) dash boards are bad about cracking.

Those Sierra's look really sharp. I like the appearance of the first one the best, but it has the most miles. Did you check the carfax on these, are they one owner, etc, etc? I didn't look at the jeep.
