Need Help on Installing Husky Liner Mud Flaps

hello I decided to start working on my 2001 4Runner again I don't wanna get this professionally installed I got these last year their Husky Liners Long John Mud Flaps I removed my mudguards and I currently have this (see in picture) that my Fender liners are exposed I don't know how I'm supposed to mount these mud flaps I’ll also post a link to the directions. I'm curious if anyone Installed these Flaps if so can u explain how. Thank you if this isn't the right place to talk about this where is the right place.

No but i’m confused because see that huge open gap i tried fitting the flaps and it won’t mount without that being covered

I'd try customizing them a little by cutting that long ear off of them a couple inches up from the flap itself.
I went the easy route and got Weather Tech mud flaps for my truck. I think I had all four of them on in about 20 minutes.
