Weve got a couple of 1990 single cab chevys at work that are used to drive inside the plant exclusively. They have around 30,000 miles on em. So that puts em at an average of almost 1,500 miles a year. They look like hell.

20 mpg in that thing, wow, I guess

I really can't complain. It's given to me for free. It comes with free maintenance. It comes with free insurance. It comes with free gas.

20.5 MPG isn't too shabby for an SUV and I plan on driving it until it breaks in half. Normally it would have been retired as a company vehicle by now, but I want to see how far it will go. The 4.0 is still strong and doesn't use oil.

Time will tell.

I went to a JJ kane auction in philly and bought an 03 pp&L (pennsylvania power and light) fleet vehicle 4 door explorer for my mother. She needed a vehicle after she totalled hers on an icy road. Got it for 2300 bucks and drove it home. It had new Firestone destination at's and it was rust free! I was impressed with it and im not a Ford guy. 4wd works great 4.0L runs like a top. It has 140,000 miles but I had all the service records for it. It was a supervisors take home vehicle so he treated her good.
