I notice if I dont open my tailgate for a while I will smell a little smell when I open mine, than after a lil while it goes away, I have Lund brand...
Musty smell after adding bed cover..??

Michael, did you have anything in the truck bed that might've absorbed water from all the rain? assuming that you had any leaks, of course. My LiteRider did leak some in the front corners after driving around in lots of rain, but I just stuck some cloth in the very small gaps and it pretty well took care of the problem. Otherwise, I've not had any "Brian" smells or otherwise with it... 
I have the lund tri-fold and it doesnt do that!

The bed is empty. I made sure of that before all of this rain started.

mine is the lund roll up, love the roll ups! It has the bars attached, when I want an open bed just roll it away, no bars to worry about, just a funky smell once in a blue moon....

If the musty smell persists take a 10lb bag of charcoal cut a "H" in the bag full length and let it sit in the closed box for a while. ... Also helps with interiors that got wet from open windows and such. Stops the funk from getting you when you open the door.
