I have a72 Dodge D200 that I am going through at the moment. Now I am addressing issues with the rear of the truck and part of that is theopen D60 slung under it. Even though this truck will spend most of its time onthe hard road I need a traction aid for the other stuff I will do with it. I donot want an aggressive locker nor do I want something that requires special maintenance. I have been looking at different modelsbut I was hoping to hear about one I have not researched yet. This is a lowbudget build and I have to keep the costs reasonable.

Oh yeah, is has 4:11 gears and 30 spline axles.

I spent half the day online and on the phone tracking one down. I think I know what I am looking for. But price is still an issue.

I think it with what I use this truck for, it would be the best option. Unless someone knows of something else in the same price range.

The drop in lockers are nice for a trail rig. But that are too agressive for a truck like this.

One of the rules I live by:
"Fast, Cheap, and Good. Pick any TWO"

If you are taking about a new part for this D60, it won't get any cheaper. I have played this game. Find a clapped out posi, and rebuild it. You will still be in it $350 if the guy parts with the assembly cheap. They are still a fairly high demand unit. Search the scrap. Many still out there.

That is why I used the word reasonable and not cheap. I know this is going to cost. I am looking for the best value, nit the cheapest thing I can get my hands on. I agree a stock posi unit appears to be the best choice. I have been pricing them out over the last few days.
