So I thought of this idea because I want to add a battery to my truck box to be recharged with a solar panel or trickle charge with a diode off the trailer harness.

Anyways my idea was to have two lights on a bracket in the truck box that can be hooked onto the top of the lid of the truck box (when opened). What do you guys think of my idea?

I guess it'd be nice if you need extra light behind you or to light up an area.

If anyone has any suggestions lay them on my I'm all ears!

First of all WELCOME to the forum. I know ebay or Harbor Freight has solar panels that you might check out.

I have one, but it's just a stick on one for seeing in the toolbox. It's pretty bright. But I have sevreral buddies who have taken strip led's (3' or so) and stuck them in there and ran power into the box. And if you wanted to get fancy you could find some type of contact switch and rig it up to the lid so when you open it, it comes on
