Lifted Truck Steering

Have a Chevy Avalanche with
6" suspension lift... I have replaced every steering component besides the steering box and the stabilizer. the wheel still has play and will “grab" when the wheel goes to far in one direction abs vise versa... help

Sounds like the stabilizer but could be the steering box since those are the only two things left.

I haven't the foggiest, I was just saying that if you have steering problems and you have replaced everything but two items and the problem persists then it is most likely one of the two unreplaced.

Someone should come around with some additional help if possible

Go to the manufacturer's site that made your lift kit.

i did and they are worthless people. i keep seeing that stabilizers are "lift specific"... but like other things are they more of a universal part? granted the lift us with in the range specified
