So I realized today that my supercharger is slowly leaking oil. Been watching a couple small oil spots develop recently overnight and finally pinpointed where it was coming from today. Oil is slowly leaking and bubbling/boiling out of one of the six main allen bolts that holds the snout of the supercharger to the main body. There are deep recesses where the allen bolts fit into and I can see oil bubbling around the head of the allen when the truck is hot. The bolt is nice and tight so Im wondering if it needs a new bolt, maybe some thread tape around it, or is there something else you think wrong? A crack in the case itself? Kinda worried since the blower is a pretty precision piece and I don't know whats going on. :dunno:

You can put thread sealer on the bolts and retorque them. I have done this on superchargers on diesels. It's worth a shot if you are not seeing a crack anywhere. I actually use Permatex 2 sealant.

Alright im going to hit up Napa tomorrow see what they have for sealants. Nothing looks wrong with the case around it, and the bolt is tight so I have no clue whats wrong!
