UPDATE: The Land Rover in Houston was a rust bucket. Somebody had done some rust "repair" to it before and that was now falling out in chunks. Moving on... I have found a 1970 Series III in Kansas that is part of an estate. Mostly rust free and pretty much original. The estate is a family mess but I am trying to work a deal with them. I have somebody not far from there ready to go do a full inspection and buy and transport if it works out. You can count on pics if it comes through. In fact... once I do find one you guys will probably be looking for ways to block me.
Well what I am really looking for is a 60s Land Rover. They are hard to find! If that doesn't pan out, I guess I'll look at some others.
I appreciate all of the leads! Who knows if I will find an old one that I can buy... time will tell. If all else fails I might just buy me a Jeep and play with that.
