I have yet to use Amsoil. I have been strongly considering ordering some from you. I was wondering, do you really only change your oil once a year? If not, how frequently do you change it?

Yeah, I change the oil once a year. So far I have averaged about 9k this year but years before that and before I got the Jetta I put on about 12k.

I change my sisters oil in her Corrolla once a year and before my brother-in-law passed I was changing his oil in his 03 Frontier once a year. It was a way of getting them to come visit me.

I also change out our Pastors Subaru and a friends 05 Suburban and 03 Camry.

So, if I'd come visit you, you'd change all of my fluids over to Amsoil? :D

Heck yeah! Front to back and a complete transmission flush. I have done a friend of mines truck and his son-in-laws dodge truck as well. Bring by and let the change over begin!

Well, if you weren't about 600 miles away, I'd be right over. I've been considering the switch. I've been using Valvolines full synthetic Max Life. The price per quart is within a few cents, but I can get a 5 qt jug of Valvoline for $25. In fact, I have it in the basement now for my next change. Even using synthetic, I still change my oil every 3k to 4k. It just gives me peace of mind. :dunno:

No problem Jeff. Yeah, if you were closer it would be great, I would have you all changed out. Now that I have that car lift it makes it easy to do. :)

It s 600 miles from here to Dayton. I had to go up there for my laser eye surgery at Wright Patterson AFB. Not a bad drive.

I bet. If I ever get word on this vacant lot next to me, I plan on buying it and building a garage. It'll either have a lift, or a pit.
I'd love to get everything switched over to synthetic. If I had the extra $$, I'd take a vacation and come let you do it. I'm busier with work now, than I have been all summer. So even if I had the extra cash, I couldn't go anywhere.

Glad to hear that you are busy. That is a good thing.

Getting everything switched over can be done slowly. It is easier on the wallet that way.

Yeah, for some reason I enjoy oil changes and such.

How far are you from Pittsburgh? My parents are two hours away.
