You betcha
Yes, people who make their own tubing running to the factory box often get improvements over the K&N warm air setup. Cheaper too.

I have a k&n filter in the stock box, but my box is sealed and that setup is not...how is hot engine air better?

I guess Ill have to save up for it...

Cool just checkin'. Was going to set you up with mine and suggest a tube.

I have been considering getting a K&N drop in filter and an Airraid tube for the Suburban. Isn't that what Tobias did on his Tahoe? :dunno:

Personally... and this is just my OPINION... I think it would be a big waste of money... :dunno:
The intake system you have "NOW" is COLD AIR... the K&N is "NOT" cold air...

Agreed, your IAT's will be higher than the stock intake so you might notice some KR until at highway speeds. What the K&N does is just provide a better flowing intake without the stupid baffles of the stock.

Agreed... but on a stock 4.3 V6... it won't do any good... except make a little more noise when you stand on it... :)... to make you "THINK" you are actually going faster ... :)

Very very true and that goes for the V8 also. Very over priced equiptment that does nothing.

It will bump timing and possibly lean out fuel trims. It will make some power like the diablo plugin and others. If he gives you a good deal why not couldn't hurt much to try it for a bit.
