Well I'm starting to get parts together to do a proper Retrofit for HIDs in my truck. I have the New headlights and dremel tool. Just need the dremel tool accessories, some drill bits and the Retrofits and I'll be in business. I'm trying to break it up over a few weeks so it dosen't hurt the wallet too much.

Should only cost me about $450 out the door then sell my old lights too

Got the new lights in today. I'll paint them black again and smoke the reflector.

Now I just need to figure out how I want to paint the reflector. Black it out or not :dunno: The reflector not painted looks kind of strange though.

Kind of looks googly eyed to me

Matt & Steve have the reflector painted with the shrouds still chrome. I don't mind that look at all

But at the same time this looks pretty good too

Maybe a PTM backround would look good!

Isn't your truck gray?

Re: Jeff's Retrofit Thread

Ho SNAP! About time this thread rolled around. It makes me happy. Glad to hear you'll be lighting up the streets of Columbia in no time!

I based my look off of Steve's. I love the balance of chrome/black. If you go with painted shrouds, use a high-temp paint. The rest of the headlight housing is okay, but those projectors get hot as fWONk. I would not trust a normal paint on the shrouds.....especially after feeling them during the aiming process.

Once you go black you never go back.

Wait.....
