Issues installing Apple Quicktime

OK, so after re-installling Windows XP, SP3 on my home PC. It is back up and running. However, I cannot get Quicktime to install. Quicktime is a prerequisite to installing Itunes. I tried downloading Itunes+Quicktime, just Quicktime and both ways it gets "stuck" during the installation portion. I then tried using the CD that came with her Ipod and it still got "stuck" during the install.

    Anybody have any ideas?

Well, whatever the latest version is on the Apple website. The CD was likely a much older version (it's 4 years old), but neither would install. :dunno:

Yeah, I try to keep Apple stuff from gunking up my Winders... So, I don't know what the current version is. I'd suggest trying the uninstall first.. IF it's even listed in Add/Remove Programs. If it's not listed, I'm sure we can find a "how to manually uninstall Quicktime" doc somewhere on the net. :)

Yes, I had to. Otherwise it would tell me that an installation was already in progress. I have to shut down the computer, then un-install it before I can try again. And yes, I let it crunch for a few hours before killing it.
