Is my light set up illegal

I have led lights (rigid industries, and some crap little strobe lights and little driving lights) I live in Illinois but I was wondering if my set up is illegal cause I've been getting weird looks by cops.

I would imagine any off road light is legal as long as you aren't trying to use it on highway for primary lighting.

I don't use them on the road I'm just wondering if there off if cops would have a problem with them still

Light bars on the top and flashing lights are generally what they are concerned with. As long as you don't have them flashing like their vehicles you should be fine

Some states require any off road lights (or accessory lights) to be covered when the vehicle is used on the street. I have no clue what Illinois law is on that but it would be worthwhile to look into it.

Stop and ask a cop. Most are pretty cool.

You probably get the looks because they look like they would be the same set up that emergency vehicles have, at least that is how I see them, in the way they are mounted on you truck.

I don't see an issue as long as you don't use them on the road. Best to see exactly what is allowed by law in your state.
