Did Ford have buckets with a console available in your year of truck? If so it would be the easiest to swap in. Should bolt right in.

As for the diamond plate headliner (me likes idea:thumbs:) it seems like a lot of work. If you put it into the lip of the roof structure your plastic pieces for A & B pillars won't match up and its lots of cutting an welding to make it take the shape of a regular headliner. Good luck with it though, and if you get it done.....WE NEED PICS!

As the seats go, i haven't seen any. but i wouldn't mind bein the first:D
&& the headliner is more of a wish now than a reality. for now i'll use my flimsy cardboard liner and some adhesive spray:p, but it's not impossible!

Start looking around junk yards for different seats, measure your truck's inside width that way you have some idea of how much room you can work with. Once you find the right set of seats you can make some custom brackets to adapt the new to the old seat mounts. Anything is possible and it would sure set the truck off.
About the diamond plate headliner, hell that's do able for sure. Just use the thinnest aluminum diamond plate you can find and cut to fit. Shouldn't be too hard to do. That would look cool.

since i'm redoing my interior black, i'd really like some black leather bucket seats:D2. and the brackets would be a cinch to whip up. (dad's knows how to weld:thumbs:) so i'll really look into that!

I've also seen some vinyl before printed to look like diamond plate aluminum. I beleive Katzkin offers it as an insert on their leather kits. You could just upholster the headliner with that stuff. :dunno:

Cool, yeah about the biggest restriction will be the space between the arm rests with the doors closed. Take a good measurement, write it down and stick it in your wallet. That way when you hit the junkyards or where ever you have the measurement handy. I've put a bunch of odd seat arrangements in trucks over the years and about the only thing to watch out for is Width of the seat. Some wider seats may place you a little too far to the right of the steering wheel when they get mounted. That can be a bit of a pain, just keep that in mind, may be worth getting a measurement too from the left armrest to the steering wheel centerline.

Late model Ford Explorer Sport Tracs have cool buckets. I'd bet you could fabricate some brackets pretty easy and finding a set at a boneyard should be a breeze (and pretty cheap).
