So my Dad gave me his hunting Rifle since he never uses it. It is a Revelation Model 225. The Revelation line was sold at Western Auto and was manufactured by Savage. The 225 is the same gun as a Savage 325. They make a scope mount specific to this gun. This thread will cover installing the scope mount and scope. I purchased my mount at www.gunpartscorp.com. They have a ton of gun parts and they're shipping is usually pretty fast.

I set the gun up in my vise.

To start you remove the 4 machine screws from the left side of the barrel next to the bolt.

Then you install the body of the mount using the supplied screws.

Set the scope in place and install the 1" rings with the supplied hardware.

The bolt rides very close the the scope but it does clear. I have to get a different scope. The one I bought was to big. The scope I used for the install is only a temp crappy one I had laying around.

Wow, that looks like the eyepiece would be way too close to your face.

[Edit] Oh, you're getting a different scope.

It is actually pretty close to my natural position. This mount does not leave you with a lot of options. I will be looking for a shorter scope though.
