Inkjet printers, anyone have this happen to them?

    Half way between here and there.
    We have had a few inkjet printers but never had then tell us that they needed servicing. Anyone have issues with theirs? This is interesting info.

    Wasted ink in your inkjet printer.

    I totally believe this. I have bought too many printers :(

    I laser print B&W docs that I need to at another location :ninja: But we use our Canon at the house for photos, because my mother still refuses to do anything but flip through a photo album. Yes, she still has a fairly new computer

    I switched to a B&W laser printer in college because I was printing tons of reports and got tired of going through ink every other week at $30 a pop. The printer itself cost about $100 and the toner was about $75 but I only had to replace it once the whole time I was in college and printing anywhere from 50-100 pages a week for just me and my roommates used the hell out of it as well. Also, in that time I realized I didn't miss being able to print in color. It has since died and I don't even have a printer right now as I don't really print anything and on the rare occasion I do need to print something I just print it at work.

    I use B/W laser...

    We switched to a color laser. When we had ink jet printers, I would just buy a new one when the ink ran out.

    I found I had little need for color prints, so I switched to an HP LaserJet years ago. I have a full page Epson Photo printer, but I can't remember the last time it was turned on. It prints superb photos though.

    For what it's worth - My old HP inkjet printers did serve me well though.

    I have a color laser HP printer. I mostly print black but I am printing 500+ pages a month. Can't be happier!

    I bet a toner cartridge lasts me 3 years! We don't print a lot.

    The unit I bought was good for 250 pages on each toner cartridge. The black went down to 50 and I bet I've printed at least 1000 invoices since then. I have a new toner on standby.
