Looking good! I still can't believe that is only a 2-bolt coming out of an RV. The Chevy orange looks sweet with the black accents.

The paint is Chevy Red Orange, have no clue what years Chevy used this color ??
Did find a bit of info on it ..
- In the early years of production, Chevrolet engines were painted red-orange, including the 265, 283, and 327 engines.
Do like it better than the traditional orange.

Didn't want to take the pump off the SBC motor to use on the BBC motor ..
Found another pump rebuilt it and powder coated ..
Be plug & play when the custom brackets gets ordered ...

No .. The Fellow that sold it to me drove it to his shop .. Last time it ran ..
Soon to get a starter on it and check the compression ..

Just nailed down a set of 871 oval port heads ...
"871 oval port heads" refers to a set of cylinder heads for a big-block Chevrolet engine, specifically designed with oval-shaped intake ports and typically associated with high-performance applications, often found on engines with a large displacement like a 454 cubic inch or larger, where the "871" likely indicates a specific casting number or identifier related to the head design.
Got a 50 mile road trip to get them ..
I asked the seller if he could lighten them up a little by removing the valves and springs, going with new stuff in that area, he said it'll be no problem ...
Be a few days till I'll make the trip ..
Got to get back up into the 70's before I'll touch cast iron ...

Few more Hot-Rod parts will be thrown into the ...
The nominal parts like cam & lifters, timing chain and walk button are a given ... The Alum. oil pan, SS O/S valves and roller rocker arms are overkill items ...
Trying to do a budget build still digs into the pockets ..
Shop next-door has a drive on dyno ...
like to see if all this $$ and work was worth it ??

454 Chevy Motor Horsepower Guessing Game ...
Think I'll have to do a give away or something to the winner. Curious as to what the HP is going to be for my low budget medium HP build will be.

Take a guess, it should be going on the dyno in a few months ...
