This intake is my choice ...
It's on my bucket list along with a sack full of other parts for the motor build ...
Also on the list are a few needed tools ...

Be boring the 454 block .060" oversize ...
Std bore is at 4.250", finish new bore will be 4.310"
Do want great ring seal so this torque plate will come in handy in that area ...

Thinking about getting it running as is ...

With having 71,000 miles on the clock, should have more miles left in it before needing to be rebuilt ...

We'll see how this goes ... ??
I had around 170K on a 1974 SB 350 before I had to do any major work on it. That was mainly camshaft, timing gear and chain and switched it from a points and condensor over to an HEI distributor. That really woke that thing up.

Hi-rise intake shouldn't be a problem fitting under the hood ...

As with using Street Rod Style A/C & Alt brackets ..

This motor is going together like Johnny Cash's Cadillac ...

Belts and the custom brackets are next ..

Do think these are well suited for the job ..

May have fitment problems with the power steering pump cause of how low it's mounted onto the block .. ?
Once it's in my greasy hands will be able to see how that goes ...

Going to take a long while to have it ready to sit it in the truck ..
Got some big dollar parts to nail down before it's ready ...

I'll continual to chip away at it when the funds are available ...
Selling a SBC 400 engine block that I've hung onto for years, it was once in the truck .. Now that I'm going Big Block, don't see a need for it anymore ..
Will use that money to buy the custom brackets for the A/C compressor, alt. and power steering ...
Have 5 guys wanting to buy the block, but nobody has showed up with the green in hand just yet ...

Still have the carb and headers to get ...
Hoping to find those items used ... (But not used up)
Also on the bucket list is the Hi-Po cam, chain, lifters and 871 heads which will be needing major work done to them (O.S. valves with 11/32" stems, springs, bowl & port blending etc. ...

I need to hit "Megabucks"
