Almost got the cruise cable moved to the big hole ..



Waiting on parts .. Looks much better and should work super well ..

Moving right along with getting the fuse panel nailed to the firewall ..





Do think this will work really well ..
Got the wires coming out at the top of the panel will help with keeping them mostly out of sight ..

Real close on having all holes filled and the needed holes drilled ... Need to do a bit more welding and the wall will be done and really for two coats of POR-15 ...
On this side, engine side will see Raptor bed liner ..



Getting a wee bit busy under there ..

I'm with you on needing a vacation. The weekends go way to fast. Well, I guess I do have four days off after today.

Needed to install a coolant sensor in the engine bock somewhere ..
On the head was a 1/2" NPT plug doing nothing, my thought was since the electric fan controller was going to be mounted on the same side that pipe plug would be a good spot to have the sensor ..

Well Sir ... It didn't want to come out, after working on it for a few days to no avail ended up drilling and threading it back to the 1/2" NPT ..



If I had wailed till the fan controller came in I could have threaded it to a 3/8" NPT ..
That way I would not have needed a reducer ... No biggie ..



If I did get the plug out I would had needed the reducer anyway ...

Just a FYI, for anyone who is thinking about an electric fan swap. This is what I did on my 97, Silverado. I did have to replace the fan temp switch since the install. Summit has a nice selection. I did something every similar on my 79 Corvette. I used the 3/8 connection on the intake that is in the Edelbrock intake, for the Corvette. I simply used relays, and the thermoswitch instead of a control box. Just click in the link, if your interested.
