Like I said, I need to buy a cargo trailer for work I am looking for a tandem axle that is at least 18.5' long and 8' wide. The special thing is I need to have at least a 90" tall opening in the back to get interior pre-hung doors in and out of it without banging them up. Other things I would need is an extra long tongue because our 1-ton chevy has a 12' tilt bed and the ball is under the bed about 2 or 3'. A Side door is also a must and a ramp door in the back.

What I am wondering is if anyone has a preferred manufacturer that I can look at buying this thing. I know we have bought a trailer that is similar to what I am looking for in Wichita but the door is not tall enough and it is a barn door type and not a ramp door. That trailer is a Pace American. This trailer will be used a bunch hauling interior doors and trim and is getting pulled by an 09 duramax.

Any help would be appreciated!

Maybe call up Featherlite and explain to them what you are looking for and they can point you in the right direction. I have heard good things from them, just kind of spendy.

It's not heaven . . . it's Iowa!
Any local trailer companies? That's where I would start. :dunno:

Most any of the big brands should be fine for what you're wanting to do. There's only so many pieces to a cargo trailer

Well, I don't know how many companies will customize their trailer. It has to be extra tall for my doors to stand up in. I am just trying to research this and I am looking for suggestions.

I saw that on google, I think I will call them this afternoon. I got a quote on a haulmark on line. If I do that one, I will pick it up in Waco, maybe I will have to make a meet up of it :D2 and TexasJim can buy lunch

Man I bet something like my trailer is exactly what you are looking for...

I have to clean it out sometime today so maybe I will do a video for you just so you can get ideas for the one you buy. I think its like 20'X8'X8'

Our hitch on my 3500hd is probably a little further under the bed than yours is and we just use a regular pintle hitch with a 10" extension from the receiver.

When I thought I was going to buy a cargo trailer a few months back, Pace American was the manufacturer that I was going with. Of course your needs are different than mine so I'm not sure if they make or customize a trailer to fit your needs.

I'm sure any manufacturer will build exactly what you want for a little cash.

Our ball is 12" under the bed straight and 55" from the corner of the bed to the ball.

I called www.internet-trailer.com and they gave me a quote for what I am looking for and they quoted almost 10K
