How would I know if I have a transponder key option?

As the heading states, how would I know if my Tahoe has a transponder key option? What RPO or PRO or what code for this, reason is we only got one 1 key and fob for the tahoe, and they are unable to get the other set. I want to order from Ebay.

Does it have a security light ? If so, it has the transponder.

Look at the key. If it has a circle with a cross in it, then you do.

'04? No transponder. Neither my truck or Tahoe take transponder key. You can cheaply make spares

I think the first years for the trucks and tahoes is 07 but I may be wrong.
