Drive truck for approximately 20 minutes to warm up the transmission fluid.

Jack the front of the truck up and secure on jack stands.

Put a pan down and drain transmission fluid with the drain plug; let it drain until it’s a slow drip.

Loosen and remove the bolts around the pan and work the pan off, you may need a gasket scrapper/spreader for this.

Loosen and remove the filter bolts and pull the filter straight down.

Remove all gasket surfaces, pan and transmission. Clean all mating surfaces prep for either gasket, or sealant.

Re-install pan and tighten pan bolt to specified torque in a crisscrossing pattern.

Fill transmission with DEXRON II refer to manual for more detailed amounts.

Thanks, it's pretty easy really. It sounds stupid, but make sure you lift the front up, otherwises you don't get all the fluid.

Ryan, I changed the title just a bit to help with search engine results! I hope you don't mind!

Thanks for the write-up!
