I'm alittle new here, but after reading around you guys seem pretty chill and I figured you guys would enjoy this.
This is my late Grandpas 1972 C10. We drug it from a field where it was parked in 2010. To my knowledge it was running and almost driving when parked. We put it in a trailer and brought it to my house. After digging into and realizing getting this running with what was there would take a good chunk of change. Radiator was missing, water in the carb, broken exhaust, missing pieces everywhere.
So after a good month of pondering I ran across a 5.3. This started as a simple 5.3 swap, maybe with some headers and a cam. Shortly after I found a 4L80 so I decided to pick that up. Then a buddy of mine had a used turbo from a Dodge, and I got that pretty cheap. So now all the sudden I have all big iteams I need for a full blown turbo build.
So we loaded her up and took her to the guy doing the initial work, sadly and I know I'll regret it alittle, I won't be able to do most of the swap. I don't have the room or time at the moment, along with the possibility of moving soon it kinda threw a wrench in my plans.
