Good Capacitor?

A guy with my exact truck did it.. his write up said it cost him $500 bucks... youch. ( to do it right of course )

Audio upgrades are expensive to do it "right." How many watts are you pushing?

Its only a 400 watt amp lol... nothing crazy.

And your lights are flashing? I was pushing 1000 in my truck with no problems. What guage wire are you running?

8 gauge rockford kit. They hardly dimmed until we bridged it lol.... now its crazy. Im wondering if maybe the alternator is weak from the previous owner.. who had that huge system in there... :dunno:

8 should be ok for no bigger than your amp is, however I always run at least 4 gauge. Id check your alternator first. 2 farad cap is a litte much for your amp also.
