I think I will sand and prime mine tonight! Not sure when the body guys will get my bumper in the paint booth, but I want to have the latch ready for them :willy:

I am going to tackle the front end of mine this spring, probably do it myself. I have about given up on body shops plus I'll save a couple of bucks doing it myself anyway.

They sell painted covers for yours. They ain't cheap, though.

If all I had to do was the center section like you, I think I might try it too.

Those big end pieces of mine were too much for me to fWONk up, though.

Oh I hear ya. If I had to do those end caps I wouldn't be thinking about it. Just doing the center portion really won't be that bad, even if I screw it up and get a bunch of trash in it. The lower valance will mostly be covered by the billet grille so there's not much there that has to be perfect.

I need to get some of the self etching primer for the bumper though. I looked at the parts stores this weekend and none of them carried it. But I can get it online.

The etch stuff is twice the cost of our regular stuff.

Must be good stuff

Looks good Jarrod!

I'm planning to take the tailgate protector off and smooth the two rear most sides, then paint the whole thing. I don't see much point in smoothing the top or the inside portion. Should turn out alright I hope.:ohnoes:

But why would you PTM the cap? Won't it just get all scratched off?
