GMT900 Slip Yoke Lubrication

When at a stop, I accellerate and you feel and here a clunk in the drivetrain.

I used the best grease they had at autozone. It was waterproof as well.

Just so I am sure, pack the yoke to the brim and let it push out what it doesn't need, correct?

Do you have disk brakes on the back?

This might not make sense but.... Mine was doing this as well. I changed the tranny mount and it helped, but it was still there.

When I did my brakes I noticed the rear rotors were worn down pretty good. I went ahead and replaced them And the clunking went away.
It turns out the pads were binding, and when you take off they break free.

I got the rotors form autozone... about $100 for both. So far no problems.

I do have disc back there and will take a look this weekend. I also do notice a bit play in the trans mount and will check this out more on the lift.

This will be getting done soon. I didn't realize all I had to do is grease the slip yoke. I will be heading to Oklahoma in the next few weeks and my truck will be on the lift. It has got to a point where it is doing it after every stop. Driving me nuts!!!
